MATCH PREVIEW
–Delhi Dynamos have an uphill task to register their first win this season when they take on an in-form Northeast United at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi today. Delhi have been creating chances, but their finishing needs a lot of improvement. In the game against Mumbai City, they started off brightly, but were put to the sword by Arnold Issoko who scored a goal and assisted one. They narrowly escaped defeat against Chennaiyin thanks to the heroics of shot-stopper Dorronsoro. They have only managed to score three goals this season with forward Andrija Kaludjerovic scoring a goal and the other two goals came from defenders. They will need to score a goal or two this game considering NEUFC striker Ogbeche looks like he will score in every game. Delhi will expect chances to be created from Chhangte, Nanda Kumar and the midfielder Mihelic with Dorronsoro probably the only option to thwart the NEUFC attack in goal.
–Northeast United will look for three points to go on top of the table when they take on Delhi today. NEUFC drew in their last game against Jamshedpur. Ogbeche helped them take the lead in the 20th minute, but a red card to NEUFC defender Mislav Komorski towards the end of the first half changed the game on its head and the match ended in a draw.
-For Northeast United, the midfield of Jose Leudo, Rowllin Borges and Gallego looks solid and in sync with each other. With an impressive comeback against Chennaiyin, hat-trick hero Ogbeche will be tough to stop and Dorronsoro and co have their task cut out.
FOOTNOTE: NEUFC Coach Eelco Schattorie IN THE PRESSER: “It is going to be a very difficult game. Delhi, with the team they have, being low on the table surprises me. I would even dare to say that if I had this team, we will play (be in) top three. It sounds arrogant. I think they are a really good team. A good mix of foreigners and Indian players.”

TALKING POINTS
-The sweeper-keeper Dorronsoro tried keeping Delhi Dynamos in the game – but his defence let him down towards the end and they ended up conceding two goals.
-In the first half, Northeast United created numerous chances, but were unable to score. Ogbeche was denied a penalty in what looked like a foul in the box. The refereeing in this game as well has been atrocious.
-For the first goal, Marti Crespi was trying to dribble/pass the ball out from the back when he should have cleared it. Gallego won the ball, swirled around a static Marcos Tebar and scored a goal at the near post. For the second goal – it was Delhi right-back Pritam Kotal to blame. Instead of going for a loose ball in his half, he waited for it to come to him for far too long – Gallego pounced on it, played it into Ogbeche and you can guess what happened. 2-0 to NEUFC.
-Delhi Dynamos are yet to win a game this season. They kept clearing the ball behind NEUFC’s defence expecting Kaluderovic to outpace defenders and chase the ball, but that was never going to happen as he is a target man.
-The only time they looked like scoring was when Northeast United goalkeeper Pawan Kumar went AWOL a couple of times trying to do a sweeper-keeper thing and was caught badly out of position – Delhi Dynamos failed to capitalise.
