Venue: Indira Gandhi Stadium, Guwahati.

-In today’s ISL game, Northeast United will host Jamshedpur FC at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati. Northeast United look strong favourites to pick up three points with impressive performances against ATK, Chennaiyin and FC Goa. They picked up all three points away against ATK and Chennaiyin and managed an impressive draw at home against FC Goa. They are third in the table with only goal difference separating the top three teams.

-The dangerous Ogbeche will be leading the attack for Northeast United. With a hat-trick in his previous game against Chennaiyin, he looks like he can score everytime he gets the ball in and around the 18 yard box.  The midfield of Federico Gallego, Rowllin Borges and Jose Leudo are combining well and look strong both in offense and defence.

Jamshedpur will look towards former Everton player Tim Cahill to help them to a goal. The forward has been unimpressive and has been substituted in each of the games he has started. Soosairaj, the former Chennai City FC player and Cidoncha who has been among the goals have looked impressive for Jamshedpur. In midfield, they will rely on Mario Arques and Memo with Jerry on the wings – while in defence they will look to Tiri to contain Ogbeche.

-In team news, first choice goalkeeper for Jamshedpur, Subrata Paul, has served his three-match suspension and will be available for selection. NEUFC will be without their first choice shot-stopper TP Rehenesh who is suspended for punching ATK player Gerson.

Northeast United vs Jamshedpur

-A phenomenal opening goal by Ogbeche to put NEUFC up 1-0. Mario Arques failed to clear the ball in the 18 yard box and the ball fell to Ogbeche who had his back to the goal. He flicked the ball behind him, turned and slotted the ball into the back of the net. With five goals in four games, he looks like a strong contender for player of the season.

-The turning point in the game was the red card to NEUFC defender Mislav Komorski towards the end of the first half. He needlessly caught Carlos Calovo with a flailing arm across his face. The linesman flagged for the foul and the referee sent him off. NEUFC played the entirety of second half with 10 men and this was the first straight red card shown this ISL season.

-Jamshedpur scored a little after the break in the 49th minute. NEUFC right back Reagan Singh failed to control the ball on the flank. Morgado capitalised on it and crossed the ball onto the path of a great run by Faruk Choudhary who finished it in the top corner.

-After conceding a goal, Northeast United shored up their defence and both teams played out a draw.
