MATCH PREVIEW
–ATK will host Chennaiyin FC at the Salt Lake Stadium and will be looking to get somewhere close to the top half of the table. The two-time champions are languishing in sixth place with four points from four games. Defending champions Chennaiyin have it worse – they haven’t won a game yet and are ninth on the table with a solitary point from four games.
-The hosts have lost both the home fixtures they played this season – against Kerala Blasters and Northeast United. They could resurrect their home form playing against a demoralised Chennaiyin. A decent run after the international break has seen them draw against Jamshedpur and win against Delhi Dynamos on their travels. ATK will look towards Balwant Singh and Noussair El Maimouni who’ve been among goals to score. The midfielder Lanzarote always has a goal or an assist in him.
–Chennaiyin FC looked good in attack in their game against Delhi Dynamos. If not for Dorronsoro pulling off a great performance between the sticks, Chennaiyin would’ve easily won the game; instead, they drew the game. However, they registered their first point this ISL season which should give them some confidence given how they dominated the game against Delhi. They do have a great team with players like Raphael Augusto, F. Fernandes and Anirudh Thampa in midfield and a solid defence. However, the strikers Carlos Salom and Jeje look woefully out of form.
-In ATK team news, Kalu Uche will sit out this game with a niggling hamstring problem.

TALKING POINTS
-Defending champions Chennaiyin FC slumped to their fourth defeat in the five games they’ve played so far.
-ATK finally turned their home form around with a win today. Lanzarote was in his element with an assist from a set-piece situation. Both the forwards Kalu Uche and Balwant Singh scored which bodes well going into the next few fixtures.
-Questionable selection by Chennaiyin coach John Gregory as he left out Jeje and Gregory Nelson out of the starting XI. Defenders Eli Sabia and Calderon look like they need a rest. They have been very poor this season and Chennaiyin should look for alternatives to the center-back pairing.
