French-Senegalese defender Zakaria Diallo has moved to Northeast United FC for the remainder of the ISL 2021-22 season. The 35-year-old centre-back is seen as a replacement signing for Khassa Camara who is currently representing Mauritania at the AFCON.

Born in the Normandy region of France, Diallo was part of the famous Le Havre academy during his formative years. He spent most his career in the French Ligue 2 and his 160 appearances in the French second tier were spread among RC Lens, Stade Brestois 29, AC Ajaccio and Dijon FCO.

Besides club football in France, Zakaria played in the MLS and league football in Belgium and Canada. He also briefly featured in the French Ligue 1 for Dijon FCO.

Before signing for the Highlanders, Diallo was at Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab FC who he joined last year from RC Lens. His arrival follows that of foreign signings Marco Sahenek and Marcelinho who joined the club in the January transfer window.
