Spanish midfielder Xisco Hernández returns to Bengaluru FC

Spanish midfielder Xisco Hernández has returned to Bengaluru FC for the remainder of the current ISL league season. Xisco was part of BFC’s title winning 2018-19 season following which he joined Odisha FC for the 2019-20 season.

The 31-year-old winger/attacking midfielder came through the youth system at Mallorca and made his senior team debut with Mallorca B, the reserve team of RCD Mallorca, in 2008. After three seasons at the club, he went on to play at a number of clubs in the Segunda División B, the third tier of the Spanish league system. He featured prominently for the Spanish club Atlético Baleares before joining Bengaluru FC for the 2018-19 season.

Overall in 38 matches in two seasons of football in the ISL, Hernández scored six goals and assisted seven. Hernández will take the place of Jamaican forward Deshorn Brown who left for Northeast United FC.
