FC Goa have announced the signing of former Odisha FC goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh on a two-year contract. The custodian featured in eight matches for Odisha FC in the 2021-22 ISL.

From Chandigarh, Singh was part of the AIFF Elite Academy during his formative years. After a brief stint at United Punjab FC, he joined Minerva Punjab FC in 2015 and played in the 2nd Division League. The club was was promoted to the I-League the following season after Dempo’s withdrawal and Arshdeep went onto play the next three seasons in the I-League. He won the 2017-18 I-League with Minerva Punjab.

In 2019, Singh moved to ISL side Odisha FC and his three seasons at the club have yielded four clean sheets from 33 matches. The 24-year-old has signed a two-year contract with FC Goa.

Their footballing style is something that I have admired for a long time. However, I have been on the wrong side of some really marvellous attacking performances by Goa.

Even though I am a ‘keeper, I love playing with my feet, am comfortable with it and I feel that would be something that I will bring to the Club. I can’t wait to develop my game further and take the next step forward.

The Club has produced several names in the recent past who have gone on to shine for the Indian national team, and my aim is to join them. All that starts with starting games, winning matches and trophies for FC Goa.
