Kerala Blasters have signed Churchill Brothers midfielder Saurav Mandal on a multi-year deal which keeps him at the club till 2025.
From Punjab, Mandal spent his formative years at the famed JCT Academy and at Football Academy Mahilpur. He then joined East Bengal FC’s U-18 side in 2018 following which he signed for CFL club Rainbow AC. After a year at the club, he switched over to ATK Reserves and played in the 2nd Division League.
Then in December 2020, Saurav moved to Churchill Brothers. The 21-year-old left winger made his I-League debut for the Red Machines against TRAU FC in March 2022 and over the course of the season made 14 appearances for the club in the 2021-22 I-League. He contributed with one goal and two assists.
The youngster’s signing follows that of his former teammate at Churchill – Bryce Miranda who joined KBFC recently.
