Jamshedpur FC have signed 28-year-old winger Jackichand Singh on a three-year deal. The right winger was part of FC Goa‘s 2019-20 ISL league winning campaign and contributed with five goals and three assists.

Born in Keikol in Manipur, Jackie spent his formative years at the Army Boys Academy between the years 2004 and 2009. In 2009, he signed for Shillong-based Royal Wahingdoh FC and then went on to help the club win promotion from the 2nd Division League to the 2014-15 I-League.

The now defunct FC Pune City came calling in 2015 and over the next few seasons, Jackie turned up for Mumbai City FC and Kerala Blasters before settling down at FC Goa two seasons ago. During his time with Pune City and Mumbai City FC, Singh was loaned out to I-League clubs Salgaocar FC and East Bengal.

Jackichand made his national team debut in 2015 against Nepal. He has 19 caps for the national team and has scored two goals. Over the last two years with FC Goa, Jackie has been a mainstay in their attack. He has featured in 35 matches in which he scored eight goals and assisted six.

FC Goa have already found a replacment for the departing Jackie with NEUFC winger Redeem Tlang joining earlier this year in June.

Playing for Jamshedpur FC is a fantastic opportunity for me.

Jamshedpur is one club in India that has everything a player needs, and the entire country knows how passionate and vocal the people of Jharkhand are for football.

I am convinced with the philosophy and the path Jamshedpur FC are following and hope to contribute with my heart and soul to help the club achieve much-deserved success.

Of course, I look forward to achieving this under the robust leadership of Owen Coyle.
