Close on the heels of on-boarding Narender Gahlot, Jamshedpur FC signed another teenage defender from Indian Arrows – Jitendra Singh.

The 18-year-old was part of the AIFF Elite Academy team which participated in the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 held in India. After the tournament, Singh joined Indian Arrows and over the course of two seasons has amassed 30 appearances in the I-League.

The Manipur-born central defender will see familiar faces at The Furnace in Narendra Gahlot, Aniket Jadhav and Amarjit Singh who were all part of the Indian Arrows team.

I am really excited to wear the Jamshedpur FC jersey and play for the club.

I would want to give the best for my team and for the fans. I am happy to be a part of the Jamshedpur FC family.

I have seen the fans and I want to say that you guys are amazing. Please keep supporting us the way you have been. Without your support it’s not possible to achieve the goals for the club.

Jitendra Singh

Jitendra joins us with immense pedigree behind him. We are really excited to have him in our ranks.

He is young and his development was closely monitored by our recruitment team. His ability to read the game and movements with and without the ball has impressed us a lot.

We welcome him to the family of Jamshedpur FC.

Mukul Choudhari, CEO, Jamshedpur FC
