Mumbai City FC continue to strengthen their Indian contingent with the signing of 25-year-old midfielder Surchandra Singh from Real Kashmir FC.
Hailing from Manipur, Surchandra Singh began his career with Shillong-based Langsning FC in the 2nd Division League. He moved to the I-League side DSK Shivajians for the 2015-16 season before turning up for Churchill Brothers the following year.
After a season at Churchill, Surchandra put on his travelling boots again and secured a transfer to Real Kashmir FC for the 2018-19 I-League campaign.
A regular fixture in the Real Kashmir midfield, Singh featured 16 times for the Snow Leopards and scored three goals. Real Kashmir finished an impressive third in the 2018-19 I-League in what was their debut season.
Surchandra Singh is the third Indian signing the Islanders have made in the off-season as they look to strengthen their Indian core. The other players who signed over the dotted line are Hmingthanmawia (Valpuia) and Rowllin Borges.
