UPDATE, January 23, 2025
Mohammedan SC players are continuing to boycott training sessions with reportedly only five players turning up for training this past Monday. Despite the CEO assuring players of clearing dues, the wages remain unpaid.
The issue seems to have risen due to paucity of funds with the club with investors BunkerHill and Shrachi Sports issuing press releases implying that MDSC club officials are yet to transfer shares as per agreements signed.
Bunkerhill in a press release alleged that despite considerable investment in the club leading up to promotion to the ISL and additional funds pledged, the club has failed to transfer shares in lieu of the signed agreement. They have now called for an immediate transfer of 61 percent of the shares.
Bunkerhill have placed a hold on further infusion of funds until shares are transferred leading to delay in payment of player wages. They have also sent a legal notice to the club last month.

Meanwhile, the newer investors Shrachi Sports have also alleged that the MDSC club officials have failed to transfer shares despite assurances to do so. They mentioned that they have also spent more than 50% of their committed investment into Mohammedan Sporting Club Pvt. Ltd. They also indicated that due the ongoing tussle and legal impasse between Bunkerhill and Mohammedan SC, their hands are tied.
