Pranjal Bhumij has joined Odisha FC on a contract running till the end of the current season, with the option of a further year.

A DSK Shivajians product, Pranjal made his first professional debut in the I-League against Churchill Brothers. He scored his first goal against Shillong Lajong which DSK went on to win in stoppage time 3-2.

The versatile winger signed for Mumbai City FC as a developmental player in 2017 and went on to commit his future at the club till 2024. He was part of the MCFC squad that completed the league double in the 2020-21 ISL. Last season, he was out on loan with Punjab FC and helped them win the I-League and promotion to the ISL.

When asked about Pranjal’s arrival, Sergio said:

I know him very well from my period at Mumbai City FC and I am sure that he has a profile that adapts very well to our idea of ​​the game. I am sure that he will help us achieve our goals.

Pranjal shares a special relationship with Assistant Coach Floyd Pinto. Floyd gave Pranjal his first national team call-up in 2017 for the SAFF U19 Championship.

The Assamese winger debuted for the Blue Tigers against Nepal in Bhutan.
