
Laishram Danny Meitei
Northeast United FC is thrilled to announce the signing of promising young talent, Laishram Danny Meitei. The 15-year-old midfielder joins the Highlanders on a three-year contract and boasts an incredible resume at such a young age.
Danny, who hails from Manipur, has quickly risen through the ranks having begun his journey with Imphal City Football Club. He then joined Sudeva Delhi FC where he continued to flourish in the middle of the field. Such has been his impact on the field that the left-footed midfielder has been a regular fixture in the India U-17 team. Danny was notably part of the team that won the SAFF U-17 Championship in 2022 and also the one that participated in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup earlier this year.
Assistant Coach Naushad Moosa expressed his thoughts on Danny’s arrival, saying:
Danny is a promising young hard-working midfielder with great attacking prowess. He was part of the U-17 Indian team and he even scored against the eventual champions Japan in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup. I believe he has the potential to be make a big impact in the future.

Bekey Oram
Northeast United FC have announced the signing of promising youngster Bekey Oram. The 19-year-old midfielder has signed a three-year contract with the Highlanders.
Bekey’s football journey began at an early age when he represented the Odisha state football team in the U-13 category. His talents quickly caught the eye, and in 2017, he joined the Bengaluru FC academy, where he progressed through the various age groups, ultimately earning a place in the reserve team.
Notably, he was a vital part of the squad that clinched the Reliance Foundation Development League title for two consecutive years.
Talking about taking the next big step of his career, Bekey, who won the Golden Ball in RFDL 2022, said:
I’m excited to be part of NorthEast United FC. The club’s focus on nurturing young talents and providing opportunities is the reason I joined them. I’ll give my best to contribute to the team’s success.
