FC Goa midfielder Princeton Rebello has moved to Odisha FC while Odisha FC defender Nikhil Prabhu moved in the opposite direction.

Princeton Rebello, 23, Midfielder

-Terminated his contract with FC Goa to join Odisha FC in a deal that runs up to 2024.

-Lack of game time is the likely reason for his departure from FCG after making only three appearances this season (all from the bench).

-From Betalbatim, Goa, Rebello’s formative years included a spell with the U-15 side of Queens Park Rangers. He was also offered an opportunity to join the academy at Watford, but declined it following the requirement to renounce his Indian citizenship for a Portuguese one.

-Was part of the AIFF Elite Academy and also turned up for Goa Pro League sides Sporting Clube de Goa and Vasco SC.

-Made his senior debut with Indian Arrows in January 2018.

-After spending a short amount of time in FC Goa’s developmental side, he was drafted into the senior team for the 2019-20 ISL season.

-Has made 45 appearances for FC Goa in the ISL over three and a half seasons.

-Won the Durand Cup, ISL League Winners Shield and Super Cup with the Gaurs.

-Has represented India at the U-19 level.

Nikhil Prabhu, 22, Centre-Back

-Terminated his contract with Odisha FC to join FC Goa on a one and a half year deal up until 2024.

-From Maharashtra, Prabhu was part of the junior teams at Mumbai FC and Thane FSI following which he joined the youth setup at the now defunct FC Pune City.

-Subsequently moved to Hyderabad FC reserves when the Pune franchise switched to Hyderabad.

-Transferred to Odisha FC in January of 2022 and has made six appearances in the ISL so far.
