Northeast United FC have announced the signing of Spanish midfielder Joseba Beitia from Rajasthan United FC.
A product of the Real Sociedad academy, Beitia spent the bulk of his career in third tier of the Spanish football league system – then known as the Segunda Division B. Some of the clubs he turned up for in Spain are Real Sociedad B, Racing Ferrol, Somozas and Marbella FC.
In 2019-20 he signed with Mohun Bagan AC in the I-League and won the title in his first season. He spent the next couple of seasons at RoundGlass Punjab FC and was currently playing for Rajasthan United FC in the 2022-23 I-League before his move over to Northeast United FC.
Overall, the 32-year-old 6’0″ attacking midfielder has made 324 appearances in club football in which he managed to score 19 goals and assist 15.
