ISL: ATK Mohun Bagan sign Puitea, Federico Gallego & Slavko Damjanović

ATK Mohun Bagan have announced the signings of Lalthathanga Khawlhring (Puitea), Federico Gallego and Slavko Damjanović in the winter transfer window.


Lalthathanga Khawlhring (Puitea), Midfielder, 24

-From Mizoram, Puitea came into prominence with Aizawl-based Bethlehem Vengthlang FC in the Mizoram Premier League.

-Made his I-League debut with DSK Shivajians in 2017 following which he was picked up by NEUFC and loaned out to Aizawl FC for whom he featured for a season in the I-League and the AFC Cup competition.

-Has turned up for Northeast United FC and Kerala Blasters in the ISL and has played in 65 ISL matches over five seasons scoring one goal and assisting five.

-The left-footed 5’7″ midfielder has signed a three and a half year contract up until May 2026 with ATKMB.


Federico Gallego, Attacking Midfielder, 32

-32-year-old, 5’10” attacking midfielder joins ATKMB for the remainder of the season.

-Spent four seasons (up until last season) at Northeast United FC and was their main architect in attack.

-In 47 ISL appearances, he scored nine goals and assisted 12 for NEUFC.

-Joins ATK Mohun Bagan from Sud América who are currently playing in the Uruguayan Segunda Division.

-Prior to joining NEUFC in 2018, Gallego has played first tier club football in Uruguay, Argentina and Guatemala.


Slavko Damjanović, Centre-back, 30

-The 6’2″ centre-back turned up for Chennaiyin FC last season and played in 19 matches.

-Started his professional career in Montenegro and subsequently played club football in Serbia, Hungary, South Africa and Uzbekistan.

-Slavko has also featured in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers for Buducnost Podgorica.


ATK Mohun Bagan have also announced the signings of Taison Singh (winger), Sibajit Singh (midfielder), Suhail Bhat (forward), Pritam Meetei (rightback), Syed Zahid (goalkeeper) and Amandeep (left back).
