Rakshit Dagar, Sheikh Sahil and Muhammed Uvais

Jamshedpur FC have added goalkeeper Rakshit Dagar, midfielder Sheikh Sahil and fullback Muhammed Uvais to their squad ahead of the new season.


Rakshit Dagar


-29-year-old 6’1″ goalkeeper from Delhi has signed a three-year contract with Jamshedpur FC.

-Won the I-League last season for a second time with Gokulam Kerala FC; Had previously won it with Minerva Punjab in 2017-18. Also represented Gokulam in the AFC Cup.

-Spent his formative years at the academy of Mohun Bagan AC.

-Has made 86 appearances in the I-League; Besides the Malabarians and Minerva, Rakshit has played for United Sikkim, DSK Shivajians, East Bengal FC and Sudeva Delhi FC in the I-League.


Sheikh Sahil


-22 year-old midfielder has also signed a three-year contract with Jamshedpur FC

-Part of the Mohun Bagan youth academy, Sahil was called up to the senior team by coach Kibu Vicuna just prior to the 2019-20 I-League season. Mohun Bagan went on to win the league that year and Sahil was impressive throughout the tournament. He also featured in the AFC Cup for the Mariners.

-Sheikh transitioned to ATK Mohun Bagan after Mohun Bagan merged with ATK to form ATK Mohun Bagan.

-Has made a total of seven appearances in the ISL – all of these came in the 2020-21 season with ATKMB. He did not feature for the club in the 2021-22 ISL.


Muhammed Uvais


-24-year-old left-back hails from Kerala and has signed a three-year contract with JFC.

-Was part of the youth setup at Sudeva Delhi FC following which he played for clubs in domestic leagues in Kerala and Karnataka. FC Kerala, FC Thrissur, Ozone FC and FC Bengaluru United are some of the clubs he represented.

-After a brief stint with KSEB in 2021, he joined Gokulam Kerala FC later that year and won the 2021-22 I-League with the club. Contributed with a goal and three assists in the league.

-Also represented GKFC in the AFC Cup.
