Jamshedpur FC have brought back 32-year-old centre-back Pratik Chaudhari after a three-season gap. The defender will wear jersey no. 24 and will join the pre-season prep at the club in the middle of August.
Pratik started out playing football at his school – the St. Sebastian High School in Chembur, Mumbai. After passing out from school, he went on to represent Bank of India and Union Bank of India while holding down a call-center job. His desire for the game saw Air India FC come calling in 2011. Pratik made his I-League debut against Prayag United that same year.
After a couple of seasons at the club, he moved on to Rangdajied United for a year followed by Mohun Bagan with whom he won the I-League in 2014-15. The centre-back then spent two seasons at the now defunct Mumbai FC – a period which also saw him get picked up by Kerala Blasters in the 2016 ISL draft.
Starting from 2017, Chaudhari played in the ISL for a season each at Delhi Dynamos, Jamshedpur FC, Mumbai City and he spent the last two seasons at Bengaluru FC.
Overall, in six seasons in the ISL, Pratik has made 77 appearances. Last season for Bengaluru FC, he featured in 17 matches.
