
ATK Mohun Bagan have wrapped up the signing of 29-year-old Australian attacking midfielder Dimitri Petratos ahead of the new season.
From Sydney, New South Wales, Dimitri started his senior professional career with NSW-based Penrith Nepean United FC following which he joined Sydney FC’s U-21 side in 2009. He made his A-League debut for Sydney FC in the 2010-11 season.
Petratos spent the bulk of his career in the A-League. Besides Sydney FC, over the years, he turned up for Brisbane Roar, Newcastle United Jets and the 2021-22 season with Western Sydney Wanderers. Overall, he has featured in 227 A-League matches scoring 45 goals and assisting 32. He won the A-League Premiership and Championship with Brisbane Roar in the 2013-14 season.
Dimitrios has also played club football in Saudi Arabia with Al-Wehda FC, Malaysia with Kelantan and in South Korea with Ulsan Hyundai with whom he won the South Korean Cup in 2016-17. He also has experience playing in the AFC Champions League.
The midfielder has represented Australia at various age group levels and has been capped thrice for the senior national team.
