Hyderabad FC have secured the signing of Gokulam Kerala FC defender Alex Saji on a multi-year contract that runs till 2025. The 22-year-old centre-back was part of Gokulam Kerala’s squad that won two back-to-back I-League titles.
Saji spent his formative years at the Redstar Football Academy in Thrissur. He joined the Kerala Blasters reserves in 2017 and made a solitary appearance in the 2017-18 2nd Division League.
Alex’s next move was to Gokulam Kerala FC in July of 2019. He went onto be part of the senior team that won the I-League in 2020-21 and 2021-22. Overall, he made 16 appearances in the league in two seasons for the Malabarians. He also represented the club in the Durand Cup and the AFC Cup.
