Defender Aakash Sangwan and midfielder Sajal Bag have joined Chennaiyin FC

Chennaiyin FC have announced the additions of defender Aakash Sangwan and midfielder Sajal Bag to their squad.

Aakash Sangwan

-From Haryana, the 26-year-old left-footed left back spent his youth career at Minerva Academy.

-Made his senior debut in the I-League with Minerva Punjab FC in April 2017 against DSK Shivajians.

-Was part of the Minerva Punjab squad that won the I-League in 2017-18.

-Joined Churchill Brothers in January 2020 for the remainder of the 2019-20 I-League season.

-Sangwan turned up for I-League club Roundglass Punjab over the last couple of seasons.

-Played in the AFC Cup competition for Minerva and has 60 I-League appearances to his credit.

-Featured in 17 matches for Roundglass Punjab in the 2021-22 I-League.

Sajal Bag

-19-year-old midfielder was part of the Mohun Bagan youth academy; was adjudged Best Youth Player of the Season in 2019-20 at the club.

-Was part of West Bengal’s Santosh Trophy 2021-22 squad which finished runners up in the tournament.

-Turned up for BSS Sporting in the CFL at club level.

-Has signed a two-year contract with Chennaiyin FC.
