Odisha FC have completed the signing of Spanish defender Carlos Delgado who returns to the club after two years. The Spaniard was part of Odisha FC during the 2019-20 ISL season when the franchise which was previously known as Delhi Dynamos shifted base to Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

From Puerto Real, Spain, Carlos is a product of the Málaga CF academy. He went on to represent Málaga B before turning up for a number of Spanish clubs in the second and third tiers of the Spanish League.

Some of the clubs Delgado has been a part of are Real Valladolid B, UD Almería B, Valencia CF B, Recreativo and CD Leganés among others. In his previous stint, the centre-back had joined Odisha FC on loan from CD Castellón. He returned to Castellón after the 2019-20 ISL season and continued playing in La Liga 2.

Last season, the 32-year-old switched over from Castellón to Atlético Baleares on a free transfer. He featured in 36 matches for the club in the Spanish third tier – the Primer Division R.F.E.F.

Looking at his overall record, the defender is vastly experienced amassing 292 appearances at club level. He will be reunited with manager Josep Gombau who recently arrived at the club and was at the helm when Carlos Delgado was at OFC in 2019-20.
