The race for the ultimate Golden Boot in the ISL resumes today as Bengaluru FC head out to face Jamshedpur FC tonight.

As it stands, Ferran Corominas, (fondly known as Coro), formerly of FC Goa, holds the crown of “Top Scorer in the ISL.” His tally of 48 goals in three seasons is testament to the impact he has had on Indian football. Further, these 48 goals and 16 assists came in just 57 matches with goals/game at 0.84.
However, when speaking of record-breaking goal-scorers, one cannot leave Sunil Chhetri out of the conversation. The evergreen hitman made his first appearance in the ISL in 2015 and now at the age of 37, he is only a goal away from equaling Coro’s tally. Chhetri has scored 47 goals from 101 matches with nine assist contributions at goals/game of 0.47.
Although the skipper was on the bench in BFC’s last outing, he has proven time and again that he doesn’t have to play the 90 to make an impact. Chhetri is only a goal away from claiming the #1 spot, and knowing him, he will be eager to open his account for the season.
