After just six games of the Hero ISL 2021-22 season, ATK Mohun Bagan have found themselves in sixth position in the league table with two wins, draws, and losses each. They started the season on a winning note for the Mariners who beat Kerala Blasters FC 4-2 in the opening game before the 3-0 win over arch-rivals SC East Bengal. But results have been underwhelming since then.
Habas still remains one of the most successful coaches in the Hero ISL, winning two ISL titles. Under Habas, the Mariners secured the second position in the league table in the last season and missed on the title by a narrow margin. In what was his last game in-charge as ATK Mohun Bagan head coach, his side battled a thrilling 3-3 draw against Bengaluru FC on December 16.
