Hyderabad FC have completed the signing of 23-year-old former Racing Santander forward Javier Siverio.

From the city of Santa Cruz, Javier was part of the youth teams at Spanish clubs CD Laguna de Tenerife and UD Las Palmas. He was promoted to the Las Palmas “C” side and played mostly in the regional leagues.

In 2018, Siverio moved to Rayo Cantabria (reserve team of Racing de Santander) and played sporadically for a few seasons in the fourth tier Tercera División and Segunda División B – then the third tier of Spanish football. He scored 16 goals in 24 appearances in his debut season in the Tercera and was also part of the senior team that earned promotion to La Liga 2.

For the 2019-20 season, as part of the senior team which competed in La Liga 2, he made five appearances. Last season, he switched over to Las Palmas Atlético (reserve team of UD Las Palmas) and played in the Segunda División B.

The 6′ tall centre-forward trained previously under Manolo Marquez in 2016-17 at Las Palmas B.

Javi Siverio is a young striker who has played for the academies at Las Palmas and Racing Santander, where he also scored for the senior side.

He is a natural finisher, is very clever inside the box and is also strong in the air. He is only 23 and will join Hyderabad to try and show us his qualities.
