Born in the city of Biała Podlaska in Eastern Poland, Borysiuk spent his formative years at the local academy – the Akademia Piłkarska TOP 54. He started his professional career with Legia Warsaw in 2007 and spent five years in the Polish top tier Ekstraklasa. During his time with Legia Warsaw which was his first stint with the club, he won the Polish Cup thrice.
In 2012, Ariel moved to German club FC Kaiserslautern and played his first season with the club in the Bundesliga and the next two seasons in the second tier 2. Bundesliga. 2014 saw the defensive midfielder move back to Poland with Lechia Gdańsk. The following season, he went back to Legia Warsaw and lifted the Polish Cup and won the Ekstraklasa with the club.
After his second stint at Warsaw, Borysiuk switched base to London and played for English Championship side QPR for a brief period and later was loaned out to Lechia Gdańsk in 2017. He switched to Lechia Gdańsk permanently a year later and picked up the 2018-19 Polish Cup.
Borysiuk also played for FC Sheriff Tiraspol in 2019 and won the Moldavian League with the club. Over the last couple of years, Ariel turned out for Polish side Jagiellonia Białystok from where he joins Chennaiyin FC on a free transfer.
Ariel has represented Poland at various age groups and has been capped for the senior team on 12 occasions. He has experience playing in the UEFA Europa League with Legia Warsaw.
