Hyderabad FC have signed former Northeast United, Kerala Blasters and Mumbai City FC forward Bartholomew Ogbeche. The Nigerian international helped Mumbai City FC to a historic league double last season – the club picked up the ISL 2020-21 League Winners shield and the ISL Championship trophy.

The former PSG man has been a revelation over the last three seasons in the ISL. In the 2018-19 season, he was the second highest goalscorer in the ISL with 12 goals and guided Northeast United FC to the play-offs. With Kerala Blasters in 2019-20, he emerged as the joint top scorer (15 goals) alongside Nerijus Valskis formerly of Chennaiyin FC. Last season with Mumbai City FC, he shared his striking duties with Adam Le Fondre and has a return of eight goals and three assists from 23 matches.

The 36-year-old Ogbeche has had a long and storied career right from his beginnings at the PSG youth academy. He went on to appear for the PSG senior team between the years 2001 and 2005 before making his way to Spanish clubs Deportivo Alavés and Real Valladolid. After his stint in Spain, Bart turned up for Dutch clubs SC Cambuur and Willem II before making his way to India with the Highlanders. Bart Ogbeche was also part of the Nigerian team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup and made two appearances for the Super Eagles in the tournament.

Overall in his three seasons in the ISL, he has scored 35 goals and assisted six from 57 matches. He is currently the third highest goalscorer in the league.
