Former Chennaiyin FC fullback Tondonba Singh has joined Mumbai City FC on a two-year contract ahead of the 2020-21 ISL.
The 25-year-old Manipuri started his career with Imphal-based NEROCA FC at the age of 11. The left-back made his way to the senior team and played in the Manipur State League at the age of 16. In the 2016-17 season, Singh helped his team win the 2nd Division League and gain promotion to the I-League.
After a season in the I-League, Tondonba moved to Chennaiyin FC at the start of the 2018-19 ISL season. Singh has represented CFC in the AFC Cup competition and over the past two seasons has featured in 19 matches in the ISL.
This is a new chapter in my career that I’m eager to begin and I am delighted to be here.
I’ve been playing in the ISL for two seasons now and to be a part of a project like Mumbai City’s is in line with my ambitions as a footballer.
Coming here is certainly going to help me grow and develop as a player and a person and I can’t wait to give my best for the club and win games with Mumbai City.
