
Chennaiyin FC have shored up their defence with the signings of right back Reagan Singh and left back Lalchhuanmawia on free transfers ahead of the 2020-21 ISL.
Reagan Singh
- 29-year-old signs for Chennai from Northeast United FC.
- Started his senior career with Royal Wahingdoh in 2012 and helped them win promotion to the I-League.
- Has also turned up for I-League clubs Mumbai FC (dissolved) and Salgaocar FC.
- After being loaned out to Northeast United FC over a couple of seasons as part of the ISL draft, the right back signed permanently for the Highlanders in January of 2017.
- Tons of experience in the ISL with 69 appearances; featured in 48 matches in the I-League.
Lalchhuanmawia [Chhuantea Fanai]
- 31-year-old left back joins Chennaiyin from Odisha FC.
- Started his professional career with JCT FC in 2010 after which he moved to Shillong Lajong FC for a couple of seasons.
- Joined then I-League side Bengaluru FC in July 2014 and was part of the team for three seasons – a period which also included two loan spells to Mumbai City FC as part of the ISL draft. He won the I-League and Federation Cup with the Blues.
- Was picked up by ISL side FC Pune City in July 2017 and after a couple of years moved to Odisha FC from where he joins Chennai.
- A total of 29 appearances in the ISL so far for the tall fullback; 58 in the I-League.
- Has been capped four times for the National Team and also has experience playing in the AFC Cup with the Blues.
