ATK Mohun Bagan have signed Spanish centre-back Tiri on a one-year deal ahead of the 2020-21 Indian Super League season. The 29-year-old was the mainstay in defence for Jamshedpur FC over the last three seasons.

From the town of Los Barrios in Spain, José Luis Espinosa Arroyo spent his formative years at current La Liga club Cádiz CF before transitioning to the reserves side in 2009. In 2012, Tiri moved to Atlético Madrid where he was assigned to the B team who in turn were competing in the third tier Segunda División B.

In July of 2015, Tiri turned up for ATK for a few games before going back to Atlético Madrid B. He would return to ATK for the 2016 ISL season and helped the Kolkata-based side to their second ISL trophy.

After leaving ATK in early 2017, Tiri played for Spanish club Marbella FC briefly before returning to the ISL and India with Jamshedpur FC. Tiri has been the first choice on the teamsheet for Jamshedpur FC over the last three seasons and was the captain of the side in the 2019-20 season.

Tiri has played five seasons of ISL and with 72 appearances is the most capped foreign player in the league. In the Spanish Segunda División B, Tiri has featured in 89 matches.
