EXPECTED GOALS [xG]

xG Analysis by Amrit
- Mental finish to a pulsating game- CFC finally scored (TWICE!!) to end the curse & bring a much needed win back to Chennai. Both strikers finally on the sheet as well.
- HFC are easily the worst side in the ISL & finishing 9th would be a massive achievement for Phil Brown.
TALKING POINTS
A dramatic night at the Marina Arena as Chennaiyin FC scored twice in stoppage time to pick up their first win of the season against a disjointed Hyderabad FC.
- The win and the couple of goals are Chennaiyin’s first in the ISL since 9th February 2019 – when they won 2-1 against Bengaluru FC.
- Chennaiyin came close to scoring on a number of occasions and hit the woodwork twice during the game.
- A big relief for Chennai coach John Gregory after the recent goal drought are the strikers Schembri and Valskis getting on the scoresheet.
- Hyderabad FC continue to not look like the sum of its parts as they swap places with Chennaiyin FC at the bottom of the table.
