FC Goa have announced the signing of its former player and Mohun Bagan fullback Amey Ranawade for the upcoming Indian Super League season.
The 21-year-old was part of the AIFF Elite Academy in Goa during his formative years and represented India at the U-17 and U-20 levels between the years 2011 and 2015. In 2015, Amey signed with the Pune-based DSK Shivajians before signing for FC Goa the following season.
Last season, Ranawade moved to Mohun Bagan and the right back made four apperances in the I-League besides helping the Mariners win the Calcutta Football League.
One of the big reasons for me returning to the club was that I was familiar with the surroundings. I was treated very well when I previously spent a season here.
The aim this year for me will be to win the title, after reaching the semi-final with FC Goa in the fourth season of the ISL.
