Northeast United FC have announced the signing of 27-year-old Manipuri midfielder Milan Singh from Mumbai City FC for the upcoming ISL season.
Singh was at the Tata Football Academy between the years 2008-2010 after which he was part of the East Bengal academy for a brief period. He signed for Pailan Arrows in 2010 and his three seasons at the club saw him score seven goals in 40 appearances.
In May 2013, Milan Singh signed for Shillong Lajong FC and featured heavily for the Reds in the 2013-14 and the 2014-15 I- League seasons. He was also drafted on loan into the Northeast United side for the inaugural ISL 2014 season.
In 2016, he joined Delhi Dynamos for the ISL season before playing in the I-League 2016-17 for DSK Shivajians. Over the next two seasons, Milan turned up for Kerala Blasters (2017-18) and Mumbai City FC (2018-19) – from where joins Northeast United FC.
Milan has tons of experience in both the I-League and the ISL. His 47 appearances in the Indian Super League should see him slot right into the NEUFC midfield come next season.
