FC Goa have announced the signing of 25-year-old versatile attacking midfielder Seiminlen Doungel on a free transfer from Kerala Blasters FC. Len Doungel had two years left on the three-year contract he signed with Kerala Blasters in June of 2018.

Originally, a JCT academy product, Doungel has appeared for I-League clubs Indian Arrows, Shillong Lajong and East Bengal during the early part of his professional career. Once the Indian Super League began in 2014, Len has been part of Northeast United, Bengaluru FC, Delhi Dynamos and over the last season – Kerala Blasters.

The Manipuri made 18 appearances for the Blasters in the recently concluded ISL 2018-19 season scoring two and assisting four goals.

Len has the ability to to play anywhere across the front three or can slot into a more familiar No.10 role. A hardworking player to boot, Doungel is not afraid to put his body on the line and has more than his fair share of tackles, interceptions, blocks and fouls – especially for a forward-thinking player.

The signing of Len will compliment FC Goa’s existing trove of riches in midfield and forward regions.

Goa, as a team, have been consistently improving every season and playing a very good brand of football.

I am looking forward to playing at Fatorda in front of the Goan faithful and I wish to win the Hero ISL with the Gaurs.
