MATCH PREVIEW
–FC Goa is taking on Mumbai City at Fatorda – an encounter which could propel either team to the top half of the table.
-With strong attacking intent, FC Goa will be favourites going into this game. They have scored five goals in their opening two fixtures. They convincingly defeated defending champions Chennaiyin 3-1 in their opening fixture at the Marina Arena. Their star striker and last year’s golden boot winner Corominas has already scored three goals in their opening two fixtures. Defender Mourtada Fall looks like a good signing for them – the Senagalese International has looked solid at the back.
–Mumbai City FC started their campaign with a loss against Jamshedpur, but rallied to secured a draw in their second game against a strong Kerala Blasters side. The won comprehensively against FC Pune City 2-0 and will be fairly confident going into this fixture. Mumbai will look to Lucian Goian and Subhashish Bose to repel FC Goa’s high-scoring frontline. In attack, they will expect M. Sougou and Rafael Bastos to start firing again.

TALKING POINTS
-5-star FC Goa move to the top of the table as they handed a 5-0 drubbing to Mumbai City FC. They could’ve had a few more goals, but a couple of legit penalty appeals in which Coro was involved were turned down.
-Although Mumbai City had 19 attempts on goal to FC Goa’s 21, they were mostly set-piece situations where they were off-target. They lacked quality in the final third with chances to take a shot or head the ball into goal spurned by poor finishing ability. Rafeal Bastos and Lucian Goian were especially culpable as each of them missed a handful of opportunities to score. In defence, they lacked tact and organisation and were found wanting throughout the game.
-Goa were direct with their football and broke on the counter often with pace and guile. They have a goal of the season contender in Edu Bedia’s strike to make it 3-0. Bedia received the ball from Coro and curled a shot in from outside the box with the outside of his foot.
