It has been a busy day of transfers in the Indian Super League as the clubs announced their newest recruitees in quick succession.
Delhi Dynamos announced the signing of Dutchman Gianni Zuiverloon from the Spanish Segunda Division team Cultural Leonesa. The former West Bromwich Albion player will add steel to the Delhi defense with his versatility at the center back and right back positions.
Zuiverloon will be joined by Adria Carmona at the Delhi outfit. The Spanish winger/midfielder joins from Segunda Division side CD Lugo. The former AC Milan youth player would pose as an attacking option for Josep Gombau.
Holders Chennaiyin FC announced the final foreign signing of the season with the addition of Palestine international Carlos Antonio Salom. The forward has signed on loan from Bangkok United. Head coach John Gregory said: “Carlos (Salom) is a fantastic addition to our squad. He will enhance the quality, experience, and variety in our forward department. He is a forward who can score and also create goals. We have full faith in him to have a great first season in India.”
Last year’s runners-up Bengaluru FC also announced the signing of Alberto Serran from Morrocan second division club, Chabab Rif. The Spanish defender had represented the Welsh side Swansea City during their stint in the Football Championship. With the signing of Serran, Bengaluru has maxed their quota of foreign players for this season.
