Kuala Lumpur: The AFC Women’s Champions League 2024-25 hopefuls learnt their path to glory following the conclusion of the draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.
The inaugural season kicks off with the preliminary stage which saw 13 teams divided into four groups. Matches will be played between August 25 and August 31.
Heading Group A of the Preliminary Stage will be Myawady Women Football Club (MYA) and they were joined by Young Elephants FC (LAO), Abu Dhabi Country Club (UAE) and Al Nassr Club (KSA) who will host the group.
Group B sees Odisha Football Club (IND), hosts Etihad Club (JOR) and Lion City Sailors FC (SGP) drawn together with Group C pitting PFC Nasaf (UZB), hosts Sabah FA (MAS) and APF Football Club (NEP) against each other.
Bam Khatoon FC (IRN) will attempt to outdo Kitchee SC (HKG) and Royal Thimphu College FC (BHU) in Group D with the matches to be played in Bhutan.
The four group winners will then advance to the Group Stage where they will be joined by eight other clubs divided into three groups.

For the Group Stage, Wuhan Jiangda Women’s FC (CHN) will host Group A where they are accompanied by Hyundai Steel Red Angels Women’s FC (KOR), Winner of PS Group C and Winner of PS Group A.
Over in Group B, Melbourne City FC (AUS) were placed together with Kaya FC – Iloilo (PHI), hosts College of Asian Scholars (THA) and Winner of PS Group D.
Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies (JPN) will battle it out with hosts Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC (VIE), Taichung Blue Whale Women’s Football Team (TPE) and Winner of PS Group B.
