
Sreenidi Deccan FC have appointed Portuguese manager Carlos Vaz Pinto as head coach to replace the outgoing Fernando Santiago Varela. Under the Argentine-born Spanish coach, Sreenidi Deccan FC finished third in the I-League last season.
From the town of Penalva do Castelo in Portugal, Carlos was appointed manager of Portuguese club Sertanense FC in July 2010.
After a brief stint at Sertanense, Vaz Pinto went on to manage club sides in Angola, Ethiopia and more recently Kenyan club Gor Mahia FC who he left in July 2021. Last season, he was assistant coach at Nacional da Madeira in Liga Portugal 2.
The 47-year-old UEFA Pro License holder was Sporting Director at Portuguese Primeira Liga club FC Famalicão in 2019-20. He also managed the U-23 side during his tenure there.
