Sikkim Aakraman FC maintain their 100% win record in the Sikkim Premier Division League after a 5-0 win over defending champions United Sikkim FC. 

Eugene Yaw Nimako scored four goals to take Sikkim Himalayan FC to second place after the third round. 

Aakraman condemn United Sikkim to yet another loss

Sikkim Aakraman FC continue to bulldoze past their opposition in the Sikkim Premier Division League. Defending champions, United Sikkim FC, were on the receiving end of a 5-0 thrashing at the Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.

While Sikkim Aakraman FC stay at the top of the table with their third consecutive victory, United Sikkim FC are at the bottom of the league without opening their account.

League’s top-scorer, Dewasish Rai put Aakraman FC ahead in the 7th minute while Lhendup Bhutia extended the lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute. The half ended with the league leaders comfortably in the lead.

The second half continued in the same vein with Aakraman FC players putting the defending champions under constant pressure. Soon enough it was 3-0 with Thinlay Dorjee scoring the third goal in the 55th minute. Sahensha Ansari extended the lead to 4-0 in the 75th minute, while Sonam Tshering put the cherry on top with a goal in injury time.

True to their name, Aakraman FCs attacking unit has scored 14 goals in three matches.

Kumar Sporting FC and Unicorn FC split points

Kumar Sporting Football Club and Unicorn Football Club played out a 2-2 draw to share the points.

Subham Basnett scored the lead for Unicorn FC in the 22nd minute but could not hold the lead for lone when Sanjit Subba scored the equalizer for Kumar Sporting FC in the 38th minute to end the first half 1-1 draw.

When both teams were playing hard to take the lead, Tseten Bhutia scored the second goal for Kumar Sporting FC in the 60th minute but this time Kumar Sporting not able to maintain the lead for long when Dathup Lachenpa equalized for Unicorn FC in the 76th minute. Finally, the match ended 2-2 draw to share one point each.

Both teams are locked on four points. Unicorn FC is in sixth place, one place below Kumar Sporting FC courtesy an inferior goal difference.

Eugene scores four for Sikkim Himalayan SC

Four goals by Eugene Yaw Nimako helped Sikkim Himalayan SC to humble Boys Club, Gangtok in a 5-1 win. Zangpo Bhutia scored an early lead for the team, however, Amrit Dahal scored the equalizer for Boys Club in the 17th minute.

Ghanian Eugene Yaw Nimako scored the second goal for Sikkim Himalayan SC in the 33rd minute and further extended the lead of the team with his second in the 45th minute.

Sikkim Himalayan SC continued where they left off in the second half. Eugene Yaw Nimako completed his hattrick in the 63rd minute and added a fourth to his personal tally four minutes later. The match ended 5-1 in favor of Sikkim Himalayan FC.

The win takes Sikkim Himalayan to second place with five points, while Boys Club are in seventh place with three points.

Police beats State Academy in injury time

Sikkim Police to edge past State Sports Academy by a solitary goal to register their first win of the campaign.

The match was heading to a goalless draw when Sangay Bhutia popped up with a crucial winning goal for Sikkim Police in the 93rd minute of the match. 

The win takes Sikkim Police to fourth place, level on points with State Sports Academy on third place.
