
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has accredited 89 clubs/academies for the upcoming 2019-20 season. An accredited club/academy is eligible to participate in the Hero Elite League (U18), Hero Junior League (U15) and the Hero Sub-Junior League (U13) – the top flight youth leagues in the country across different age categories.
A total of 123 clubs/academies had applied for the accreditation and the process takes the football governing body six months to complete.
The current Hero Sub Junior Champions Reliance Foundation Young Champs were rated five stars by the AIFF and becomes India’s first youth academy to be rated as such. Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools (Delhi), Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC academies received a four-star rating.
