
TRAU FC draw first blood

TRAU FC eased past Chhinga Veng FC away from home after scoring three goals past them. Princewill Emeka, TRAU’s prolific Nigerian forward and captain converted from a penalty in the 43rd minute to give his team the lead.
The other Nigerian in the TRAU FC lineup, Joseph Olaleye helped double the lead in the 63rd minute.
Trailing by two goals, Chhinga Veng managed to pull a goal back through the Ghanaian defender Godwin Quashiga in the 80th minute. But TRAU FC would nail down the result with a third goal late in the game – the loanee from East Bengal FC, the 20-year-old Yami Longvah scored in the 89th minute.
The two teams had earlier met in Group C earlier in the season. Both teams won their away fixtures against each other. Remains to be seen if Chhinga Veng can pull off a result away from home in Imphal. The reverse fixture is scheduled to be played on May 25.
Ozone FC ease past Lonestar Kashmir

Ozone FC continued their unbeaten run in the 2nd Division League with a comfortable win over Lonestar Kashmir. A brace by the experienced captain C.S. Sabeeth (45+3′, 68) set them on course for three points.
The home side would add a third goal courtesy the 20-year-old forward Rinreithan Shaiza to complete the rout.
