The I-League club NEROCA FC announced yesterday that former Indian international Renedy Singh will be taking over as Head Coach at the Manipur-based club.
A dead ball specialist, Renedy was an important cog in the Indian national team setup that won the Nehru Cup in 2007 and the AFC Challenge Cup in 2008. At club level, he played for Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and was teammates with Sunil Chhetri at JCT FC.
Renedy’s last coaching stint was with FC Pune City in the 2015-16 season where he served as an assistant coach.
NEROCA FC have finished their I-League campaign in sixth position this season – down four places from a lofty second-place finish in the 2017-18 season.
