Kerala Blasters [R] restart their season, defending champions Gokulam Kerala pick up a win at the end of Matchday 2 in the Kerala Premier League.

Group A

SAT Tirur salvage a draw against SBI Kerala

Date & Place: 27 December 2018; Tirur.

FULL-TIME: Sports Academy Tirur 2-2 SBI Kerala

SAT Tirur took the lead in the first half thanks to a goal from Mohammad Nisham in the 33rd minute and were leading going into half-time.

SBI Kerala scored two goals [Martin 57′ Usman P 68′] in the second half and looked on course to picking up their first win of the season especially after suffering a defeat in the reverse fixture held a couple of weeks ago.

However, a second-half stoppage time goal by SAT’s Rishad meant the teams shared points on the day.

Kerala Blasters [R] get their revenge in the Kochi Derby

Date & Place: 27 December 2018; Kochi.

FULL-TIME: Kerala Blasters FC Reserves 3–1 RFC Kochi

After shipping six goals in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, Kerala Blasters [R] picked up their first win of the season to get back in contention in the league.

A brace from Afdal and a goal from Hrishidath ensured Kerala Blasters [R] picked up all three points in the Kochi Derby.

FC Kerala rip apart Golden Threads FC

Date & Place: 28 December 2018; Ernakulam.

FULL-TIME: Golden Threads 1-7 FC Kerala

FC Kerala started their season in style after scoring seven goals past Golden Threads. A first-half brace by Ekomobong Victor Philip saw them take a two goal lead, but Nimshad Roshan got a goal back for Golden Threads late in the first half.

However, a second half brace – this time by Uman Sayyed sealed the deal for FC Kerala.

Defending Champions Gokulam Kerala prevail over Kovalam FC

Date & Place: 31 December 2018; Kozhikode.

FULL-TIME: Gokulam Kerala Reserves 1-0 Kovalam FC

The defending champions Gokulam Kerala [R] held on after being reduced to 10 men to pick up a narrow win in their first game of the season.

Shihad Nelli Paramban was the lone goalscorer and the single goal lead proved to be enough for the champions to pick up all three points.
