Indian Football Team: 34-man probable squad announced for the AFC Asian Cup

The Indian Team Head Coach Stephen Constantine has named a 34-man probable squad for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2019 in January. The squad will be trimmed down to 23 players and the final squad will be announced before the tournament commences.
The uncapped players who have been called up are Sahal Abdul Samad (Kerala Blasters), Komal Thatal (ATK), Sarthak Golui (FC Pune City on loan from Mohun Bagan), Farukh Choudhary (Jamshedpur FC) and the goalkeeper Vishal Kaith (FC Pune City).
The midfielder Sahal Abdul Samad and the fullback Sarthak Golui have impressed in the ongoing Indian Super League season.
The squad is travelling to UAE on December 20th and a friendly against Oman will be played on 27th December. India’s campaign in the AFC Asian Cup will kickoff on January 6th in a Group A encounter against Thailand at the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The other teams in Group A are Bahrain and the host nation UAE.
Four players have been selected from each of the following ISL clubs: ATK, Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC, Delhi Dynamos and FC Pune City. Kerala Blasters sees five of its players making it to the probable squad and that’s the highest representation among the clubs. The I-League has a sole representative in the East Bengal player Salam Ranjan Singh.
