UPDATE: The match which was cancelled initially will now be played at 22.30 PM IST. The seven Indian players who were stranded at the airport for 36 hours may not be a part of the starting XI but might make an appearance in the second half.
The Jordan-India International Friendly that was scheduled to be played at the King Abdullah II International Stadium on Nov. 17 has been cancelled.
The Indian contingent arrived in Amman with only 24 hours to go before kick-off. The team which travelled in two batches had their flights diverted to Kuwait City and Doha due to flash floods and heavy rainfall all across Jordan.
There was no possibility of rescheduling the friendly as Jordan take on Saudi Arabia this Tuesday. The press conference in the leadup to the game between the Jordan coach Vital Borkelmans and Stephen Constantine has also been cancelled.
India’s next international friendly will be against Oman on December 27.
