The current law and order situation following the death of civilians in the Kulgam blast has forced the organisers of Jammu and Kashmir Invitational Cup to cancel the final and declare the finalists – Real Kashmir FC and Minerva Punjab FC as joint winners.
The event was jointly organised by the J&K Football Association and J&K State Sports Council. The eight participating teams were Real Kashmir FC, Minerva Punjab, J&K Bank, Sudeva FC, Lone Star, SFA, Delhi United and Bengaluru FC B.
The final was scheduled to be played on Tuesday at the Synthetic Turf TRC Ground between Real Kashmir and Minerva. The J&K State Sports Council and J&K Football Association held the prize distribution ceremony at Gindun multi-sports complex, Rajbagh.
