Shillong Lajong FC will face Rangdajied United in the finals of the Meghalaya State League. The final will be held on 21 December at Khliehriat.
Relentless Lajong annihilate Druma Sadruma
Lajong beat Druma Sandruma in the two-legged semifinal with an aggregate score of 21-2.
The first leg in Jowai ended with a scoreline of 10-1.
The I-League team was relentless scoring in the very first minute of the match through Phrangki Buam.
Sengsu Momin equalized in the 23rd minute before Naorem Mahesh Singh put Lajong back in front three minutes later.
For twenty minutes the match was evenly-balanced Lajong added a third from the boots of Naorem in the 66th minute.
The last 20 minutes was a bloodbath. Naorem has a four-goal haul, Phrangki Buam completed his hattrick, Parvaj Bhuiya with a brace and Donboklang Lyngdoh getting himself in the scoresheet.
10-1 and the tie was over.
A hattrick and a double hattrick
The second leg at Resubelpara saw another hiding with Lajong scoring 11 goals.
Samuel Lyngdoh Kynshi opened the scoring in the 16th minute. Phrangki Buam followed up his hattrick in the first leg with four goals in the first half.
Druma Sandruma managed to pull one back in the 32nd minute through Bsing Marak.
5-1 at the break.
The onslaught continued in the second half with Samuel completing his hattrick, while Buam completed his double hattrick.
In the last 10 minutes, skipper Kenstar Kharshong and Dajied netted a goal each to finish the incredible 11-1 scoreline to end the tie 21-2.
Lajong will face their familiar foe Rangdajied United in the final.

Rangdajied go from love-all to 6-1
The first leg between at Rangdajied and Sutnga ended goalless. Egged on by the home crowd at Khliehriat, Sutnga proved a tough nut to crack and kept the former I-League team at bay.
Rangdajied United did not have an answer to the formidable Sutnga defense who held on the draw in spite of going down to 10 men.
The second leg at Mawkyrwat saw a difference in the outcome with Rangdajied running away 6-1 winners.
Mawkyrwat is a couple of hours away from Rangdajied’s base in Mawnphlang. What was essentially a home match for Rangdajied.
The goalscorers for Rangdajied were Aiborlang Khongjee, Donlad Diengdoh, Aenam Jyrwa, Dawanchwa Challam, Stephanson Pale and Wallamsuk Nongkhlaw.
Amul Chyrmang scored the consolation for Sutnga.
21-2 vs 6-1 or 47-4 vs 21-2?
Going by current form the odds are in favor of Shillong Lajong.
Their opponents, Rangdajied United, has scored 21 goals – where 10 goals were scored in a single match – while conceding two in return.
The winners of the Shilong Premier League has been relentless in the tournament, scoring 47 goals and conceding a measly four in seven matches. They matched Rangdajied’s goal scoring form in the tournament over the two legs in the semifinals.
The two teams came face-to-face in the 2019 Shillong Premier League, where both matches ended in draws.
Lajong with their goalscoring prowess may be the firm favorites, but Rangdajied United are no pushovers – especially with Aiborlang Khongjee marshaling their defense.
