ATK have announced the signings of Michael Soosairaj from Jamshedpur FC, Michael Regin from Chennai City FC and Carl McHugh from Motherwell FC.

MICHEAL SOOSAIRAJ

ATK have handed a five-year-contract to Micheal Soosairaj who joins the two-time ISL champions from Jamshedpur FC. The winger was one of the standout performers for The Red Miners last season although he missed a chunk of the campaign due to injury. Michael managed to score four goals in 14 appearances for Jamshedpur.

Soosairaj’s first big break in football was in 2012 with Arrows FC who play in the CFA Senior Division. After a few years at Arrows, he moved to Chennai City FC and got his first taste of I-League action. A couple of years at Chennai City FC where he was their brightest star saw him make the big move to the ISL side Jamshedpur FC for the 2018-19 season.

The 24-year-old winger was recently called up for the Indian NT probables camp ahead of the King’s Cup in Thailand in June and ATK awarding Michael a long-term contract is a sign that his stock is on the rise.

CARL MCHUGH

ATK have announced the signing of Motherwell FC defender Carl McHugh on a two-year deal. The 26-year-old was formerly the captain of the Scottish side and is primarily a central defender, but can fill in as a fullback and a midfielder.

Apart from the Scottish Premiership, Carl has played in League Two in England with Bradford City and notably Plymouth Argyle.

A Reading FC youth product, Donegal-based McHugh has also played Gaelic football for Na Rossa.

Carl is a very versatile, exciting player. His talent and leadership skills will impact the team in a very positive way.

MICHAEL REGIN

The Chennai City FC midfielder Michael Regin has signed a two-year deal with ATK. The 31-year-old joins his younger brother and former Chennai City FC teammate Michael Soosairaj at the Kolkata-based club.

Regin has also represented Railways in the Santosh Trophy.
