The 2nd Division League kicked off yesterday with Mohammedan Sporting losing to ATK Reserves at home. Here’s an overview of the groups, fixtures and format.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The top teams from Group A and B, and the top two sides of Group C (barring the reserve sides of the ISL clubs) will make it to the final round.
The four sides will play each other twice in the home and away format.
The team that finishes top of the table in the Final Round will be crowned champions and will earn promotion.
FOREIGN PLAYERS
Each club can register three foreign players in their squad (Excluding ISL sides).
One of the foreign players has to be from an AFC Member Nation.
