The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2020 scheduled to be held in India has been cancelled and they have been granted hosting rights for the 2022 edition of the tournament. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament was originally rescheduled to be held in 2021, but since the pandemic hasn’t shown signs yet of abating, the event has been scrapped.
